Everything you need to know
before we get started.

From getting your project started to pricing, timelines, production, and delivery, we’ve answered the questions we hear most. Still looking for something? Send us your question and we’ll be happy to help.

Starting a job

What to send, and what happens after you send it.

How do I get a quote?

Send the category, the quantity and the deadline through the contact form. You hear back within one business day with whether it is a fit and roughly what it costs, from someone who can actually price the job.

What do you need from me before you can price it?

The category, a quantity, a deadline, and any artwork you already hold. A budget range helps as well, because it decides which materials and finishes are worth quoting. If you are missing a piece, send what you have and we will tell you what else we need.

Is there a minimum order?

It depends on the product and the finishing. A screen printed tee and a rigid gift box with a die-cut insert have very different economics. The quote form starts at under 100 units, so send us your number and we will tell you straight away whether it works.

Do you only work with large companies?

No. We have supplied more than two hundred companies, from single venue operators to national projects. The work on this site runs from one-off varsity jackets to stadium concession packaging.

What do you actually make?

Three things. Luxury packaging, ready-to-wear apparel and headwear, and commercial and workwear. Most projects touch more than one, which is the reason to run them through one supplier.

Can I see what you have made before?

Yes. There are forty-eight projects on the work index and twelve covered end to end as case studies, with the specification and the scope for each.

Design and artwork

Files, colour, and seeing it before you commit.

Do you design, or do I have to supply artwork?

Either. Design is developed in house, so you can bring a logo and a set of brand guidelines and we will take it from there. If you already have a finished file, we will work to it.

What file format should I send?

Vector is best, so AI, EPS or a vector PDF. It scales to any size and holds a clean edge on embroidery and foil. If you only have a raster file, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it will hold at the size you need.

How do you match my brand colours?

Pantone matched to your brand standard, on every run. The references are agreed in writing before anything is priced, which is also what makes a reorder two years later come back the same.

Can I see a sample before I commit to a run?

Yes, and you should. A mockup approves the design. A sample is the piece made on the real machine in the real material, so it is the thing that approves the colour match, the fabric weight, the stitch density and the finish. The quoted turnaround is sample to door, so the sample loop is already in the number.

Can you work to our existing brand guidelines?

That is most of the job. Translating a brand standard into something manufacturable, without the standard quietly slipping in the process, is the part that takes the experience.

What if we do not have brand guidelines?

Plenty of clients do not. A logo, a colour or two and a few references you like are enough to start. The specification we agree becomes the standard for anything that follows.

Production and materials

How it gets made, and what is possible.

Who makes it?

Design and specification are done in house. Production runs through partners we have vetted and worked with for years, and every specification is signed off by us before anything ships.

What printing and finishing can you do on apparel?

3D embroidery, flat embroidery, screen print, puff print, chenille patches and custom interior taping. The right one depends on the garment, the artwork and how the piece is meant to wear.

What can you do on packaging?

Rigid and folding carton, gold foil, emboss and deboss, velvet and soft-touch finishes, die-cut inserts and food-safe print.

Do you make high-visibility and compliant workwear?

Yes. CSA Z96-22 high-visibility, reflective tape, heavy-duty canvas, weather resistant and load rated goods, in multi-size runs. Durability is specified first on that work and branding second.

Can one project cover packaging and apparel together?

Yes, and that is usually the point. When the uniform, the merchandise and the packaging come from one specification, they still match each other a year later.

Are glassware and flatware available?

Not for orders yet. The category exists and the work is real, but it is not open. Register interest and we will come back when it is.

Timelines

How long it takes, and what moves the date.

How long does a job take?

Four to six weeks is typical, sample to door. That figure already includes the sample loop, which is the number most quotes leave out.

What actually drives the timeline?

How quickly artwork and specification are signed off, the quantity, and the finishing. Foil, emboss and multi-position embroidery all add machine time. Sign-off is usually the part that moves the date most, and it is the part you control.

Can you work to a fixed deadline?

Tell us the date on the form. If it is achievable we will say so and build the schedule backwards from it. If it is not, we will say that too, which is more useful than finding out late.

Do you handle reorders?

Yes, and reorder cycles are set up for projects that repeat. Because the specification was fixed in writing the first time, the second run matches the first rather than being re-guessed.

Pricing

How a number gets to you, and what sits behind it.

How is a job priced?

Specified first, then priced. Artwork and material specifications are agreed before anything is quoted, so the number you get is for the thing you are actually going to receive rather than a starting position.

What drives the cost?

Quantity, material, and finishing. The number of colours and print positions, and whether the piece needs foil, emboss, a die-cut insert or a special fabric. Two jobs at the same quantity can sit a long way apart on all three.

Is there a price list?

No, because nothing here is off the shelf. Every job is specified before it is quoted. Send the details and you get a real number rather than a range that changes later.

What budget should I come with?

The quote form has bands from under four thousand dollars upward. Pick the one you are in and we will tell you what is achievable inside it, including where spending less on one part buys a better finish on another.

Working with us

Who you deal with, and where things go.

Who will I be dealing with?

The same people from the first sketch to the final delivery. That is why the Pantone matches, the thread colours and the interior taping come out right, and why nothing gets lost in a handover.

Where do you ship?

We are based in Toronto and ship across North America.

What happens if a run comes back wrong?

This is what the sample and the written specification are for: both sides agree what is being made before the run starts, so there is something to check the delivery against. If a run does not match the specification that was signed off, tell us straight away and we will look at it with you.

Can you help decide what to make in the first place?

Yes. Plenty of conversations start with a budget and an occasion rather than a product. The use cases page is a good place to see how a job like yours usually starts.

Tell us what you need made.

Send the category, quantity and deadline. We will tell you straight away whether it is a fit and what it costs.
