Project overview.

Burger Drops reached out to D Merchandising to develop a custom merchandise collection for both their retail locations and an upcoming burger tour across the United States.

The brand already had a strong identity, a loyal social following, and a reputation for quality, so the merchandise needed to feel like a true extension of Burger Drops rather than standard promotional apparel.

The collection included custom hats designed exclusively for in-store purchase, as well as limited-edition burger tour T-shirts that would only be available in the individual cities visited during the tour.

Burger Drops was also invited to participate in a specialty burger event in the United States, becoming the first Canadian brand to receive an invitation to the event.

The challenge.

The biggest challenge was not simply creating merchandise.

It was rebuilding confidence in the process.

Burger Drops had been trying to develop merchandise for approximately two years, but previous suppliers had consistently fallen short. Projects were either not executed properly, quality did not meet expectations, or the finished products did not feel representative of the Burger Drops brand.

For a company with such a recognizable identity, settling for average merchandise was not an option.

Our team needed to take the existing ideas, develop a stronger creative direction, improve the overall product quality, and manage the project through production to ensure the final pieces delivered exactly as intended.

Our approach.

D Merchandising developed a custom apparel collection for Burger Drops, including:

Custom Burger Drops hats Exclusive in-store hat designs Custom burger tour T-shirts Limited city-specific merchandise for the U.S. tour New artwork and merchandise concepts Full sampling and production management

The hats were developed as exclusive retail pieces that customers could only purchase directly through Burger Drops locations.

The burger tour shirts were created with the same exclusivity in mind, with each design tied specifically to the cities included on the tour.

The result.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts with previous suppliers, Burger Drops was finally able to move forward with merchandise that met the quality and creative standards of the brand.

Our team handled the process from creative development through sampling and production, making sure the finished products felt intentional, premium, and unmistakably Burger Drops.

The custom hats have now moved into retail, with the Burger Tour collection continuing into production as the brand expands its presence into the U.S. market.

For D Merchandising, the project was about more than producing hats and T-shirts. It was about showing what happens when creative direction, product quality, and production management are all handled as one process.

Two years of trying to get the merch right. One collection finally built to match the brand.
